John Mayer Concert, Air Canada Centre, February 14, 2010

Didn’t know whether or not big cameras were allowed, so I settled for my point and shoot. Felt crippled the entire show with this terrible, nagging regret; literally could not stop thinking of all the photos that I could have been taking of this beautiful creature. So, here we are with these photos – nice & grainy, and though not nearly as awesome as they could’ve been, I like them. I also recorded (absolute crap quality) videos to make myself feel better because my big camera can’t do videos.

Lesson learned – taking the risk next time (Beatles show, Feb. 28).

With that said, the concert brought his music to a new light. That package of genius was amplified x100. His music, talent, and good looks surpass the manwhore stories, so really, who cares? The man is actually awesome.

“Ladies, if you want to know the way to my heart… good spelling and good grammar, good punctuation, capitalize only where you are supposed to capitalize, it’s done.”

“I love you all so much. We really need to come up with a new name for ‘fans’. How about really good friends who can’t come over my house.”

“I’d like to think the best of me is still hiding up my sleeves.”

“I like the idea of artificial beauty. Dying my hair black and wearing make-up and high heels is a security thing for me. I feel completely strange when people try to take it away.”

“Love is passion, obsession, someone you can’t live without. If you don’t start with that, what are you going to end up with? Fall head over heels. I say find someone you can love like crazy and who’ll love you the same way back. And how do you find him? Forget your head and listen to your heart.”

“I’m pretty sure there’s a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I plan on finding out what that is.”
