I’ve been wanting a shot of one of these gorgeous birds for a long time, but they’ve been too fast for me every time I tried to catch them still for one second. At last, a lucky moment yesterday. This is available as an 8 x 8 print at my Etsy Shop :).
The Coliseum in Rome, Italy, in a 5 x 5 print, available at my Etsy Shop. :)
I had an incredibly productive day at work and after work. I finally have a second to breathe but I feel fantastic with all that I’ve packed into my day. I’m flying out to Edmonton tomorrow morning on business and will be back on Friday. I’m lugging my personal laptop with me along with my work laptop because I can’t be apart from my computer for too, too long right now – I’m too addicted to ramping up my Etsy Shop. Plus, I have a sea of new photos to process. In exchange for bringing my personal laptop with me, I’m leaving my big camera behind and settling for my point and shoot. I think that’s a fair trade. Two laptops in a carry-on luggage… sounds okay.
My second big trip to Europe could not come at a better time. I’m hitting an all time high with my photography and my heart is going to explode this summer. I’m so hyped, so excited, so giddy over it. Photos make me so happy, you have no idea. My life would be completely different if I hadn’t discovered my love for it. My blog and my shop are eating up all my after-work time and I’ll gladly be eaten up by both.
This was in Florence, Italy, available in a 5 x 5 print on my Etsy Shop. :) A lot of my travel photos will soon be available in 5 x 5 prints. I changed my shop banner, too. It’s much cuter now. Oh, and I’m offering a promotion: buy an 8×10 print and receive a free digital download.
I’m up at all hours of the night working on my Etsy Shop. This blog has almost taken the back seat this past week. It’s really like running a real business because if you don’t give the shop the time it needs, it’s going to rot and you’ll never make your 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th sale. If your listings get old for example, and no longer appears at the top of search results, then that’s it. People will never even see your items, let alone purchase them. So, you have to constantly maintain, relist, and renew, but there needs to be a strategy or else you’ll just erode your profits. I have this sudden burden to do my due diligence with this shop and see where it goes. I’m reading up on tips and tricks for more exposure and sales. I wonder if it’ll break through one day.
My photos in the next couple of months are going to take on a different direction – they’re going to be photos that I can sell on my shop. So it’ll be less people shots; more objects and things and places.
the ancient Egyptians had a beautiful belief about death. When their souls got to the entrance to heaven, the guards asked two questions. Their answers determined whether they were able to enter or not. ‘Have you found joy in your life?’ ‘Has your life brought joy to others?'” –Carter Chambers, The Bucket List
I was at the NKOTBSB concert last night and it was over the top amazing, it hurts my heart. I got home at 12:30am and went to work this morning feeling like a zombie. New Kids on the Block stole the show in my opinion. I’m hooked on them.
I didn’t bother bringing my big camera and spent half the night figuring out how to work my point and shoot. I really didn’t remember how. The zoom was brutal. This was as close as I could get without producing complete crap photos. Nonetheless, a memorable concert that’s comparable to the Spice Girls comeback concert. Good enough to bring me to tears.
“The way for a young man to rise is to improve himself every way he can, never suspecting that any body wishes to hinder him. Allow me to assure you that suspicion and jealousy never did help any man in any situation. There may sometimes be ungenerous attempts to keep a young man down; and they will succeed too, if he allows his mind to be diverted from its true channel to brood over the attempted injury. Cast about and see if this feeling has not injured every person you have ever known to fall into it.” –Abraham Lincoln
You can’t be everything you want to be before your time.” From yesterday’s photoshoot. Cutest, cutest, cutest boy ever. What a pleasure to take his photos. I’ve been editing these sneak peeks for the past hour with a smile that I can’t seem to wipe off my face. I adore him!!! It was such a headache to pick which photos to post. Thank you for a lovely time, Chantea. Hope you like these!
Ahh, I’ve been dying to do my whimsical carnival photos ever since I saw Water for Elephants and finally, a start! There were no carousels at the festival I was at today and that’s a critical piece to this series. I’ll be going to as many carnivals as I can this summer – small ones here and there as we build up to the largest one, the CNE in August. This series will be available at my Etsy Shop. :)
I’m partnering up with Laisie for the third component of my little venture here – my photo frames. We’re putting our heads together for that one and have booked an arts & crafts date. We’re also reviving our e-book. We’re also going to Europe together. We’re also going to the Backstreet Boys concert on Wednesday.
