I’m so excited to announce that I’ve been accepted as an exhibitor at the One of a Kind Spring Show 2015 in March!!! I’m completely ecstatic and can hardly wait. It’s going to be a large undertaking and I have a lot to figure out between now and then but will keep the details coming as things unfold. <3 School has been a whirlwind these last couple of weeks and will continue to be for the next two weeks, but I'm hanging tight. It'll all be over soon. And then I simply can't believe I have only one more semester left of the MBA program - it felt like just yesterday I was studying for the GMAT exam. And now I've applied for graduation in June 2015. Very exciting times. I'm also partaking in the US' Black Friday event this year for the first time ever, so a bunch of us are heading to Michigan on Thursday. Here's to hoping for a successful first experience. This is yet another re-edit of a previous subpar edit. Happy Saturday!

Sometimes I browse through my archives and literally cringe at the sight of rushed, subpar editing of certain pictures, so I go back and re-edit them. :)

Busy bee! Quick post! If you’re looking for shipwreck photos, ta da! This print is newly listed on Etsy!

Here are some of my favourite ‘ship’ related quotes:

“The books that help you most are those which make you think that most. The hardest way of learning is that of easy reading; but a great book that comes from a great thinker is a ship of thought, deep freighted with truth and beauty.”

“If the highest aim of a captain were to preserve his ship, he would keep it in port forever.”

“You are the master of your own ship. There are lots of people who fall into troubled waters and don’t have the guts or the knowledge or the ability to make it to shore.”

I’ve became fascinated with  3 million shipwrecks on the ocean floor and started browsing around for more shipwreck photos around the world.

I’m embarking on a new project to -professionally- overhaul this entire website. I’ve gotten away with building my own websites all these years, but I can no longer keep up with the best practices, features, functions, bells, and whistles and it is simply way too time consuming for a vastly imperfect job at the end. And let’s face it, there are a million other things that need time and attention. So, I’ve invested in a professional and the project has commenced as of today. It’ll be a while until everything comes together but at least we’re in a forward motion.

My friend Sarah and I took it upon ourselves to savour Autumn’s little gifts with a small picture-taking road trip. I haven’t done this in a while and by “this” I mean going some place beautiful to take pictures with a friend who loves photography as much as I do. And I pretty much always forget how refreshing and therapeutic it is. Today was quite literally the perfect Fall day, too. The sky was blue with just enough puffy white clouds and the temperature called for just a light sweater. I think I’m going for a second round of this tomorrow morning because another beautiful day awaits. Sometimes you just have to break away from the chaos that is your chores, to-do lists, action plans, and just go to your happy place for a boost that you didn’t even know you needed. This is actually our happy place, which I suppose would make us quite simple beings at the core. Small things like this make us very happy.

There are several more pictures to share but I have to tackle these in doses or I’d be here for countless hours and not get anything else done, which is not the right idea. Case in point – I have my book open in front of me and it is taking me two hours to get through content that should really only take an hour, so that’s my cue to shut this down and focus. :)
